Charlotte's sayings and doings...

Charlotte seriously cracks us up on a daily basis. She says and does the funniest things. I wanted to document all that I can remember.

- As a tornado is a brewing outside, she's spinning on the balcony yelling, "Wiiiiiiiinnnnnndy!"

- George and I are laughing at something in the car and she starts fake laughing in the backseat, throws her head back and says, "Oh, guys!". Funniest thing to date :)

- She's started reaching for me and asking, "hode you?" (hold me?)

- Anytime she sees a baby she gasps, then in the sweetest, high pitched, almost whisper says, "bebe?!"

- Almost everything she says is a question. Meaning, her tone always goes up as if she's asking something.

- She recently is loving her lego blocks and will sit and build towers for quite a while. She will be completely silent and have a furrowed brow as she concentrates on the tower she's building. Then when she's done she looks at us and says, "Crash?!" and knocks it over.

- She recognizes every letter of the alphabet and will point out letters everywhere. Proud mama moment :)

- She knows the colors blue (bl), red (wed), pink (peeeenk),green (geen), yellow (low), orange (onj), purple (popole) and sometimes white (white).

- She can't count, but will occasionally start "counting" her blocks as she stacking them. "fwee, fo, fie, SIX!"... hysterical.

- She likes to bounce on our bed then have George push her over. She laughs SO hard.

- She really likes to be scared. If we're hiding and pop out at her, she squeals and laughs so hard!

- When either of us are out of sight, even for half a second, she starts yelling, in a super concerned tone, "MOM, MOM?!" "DAD, DAD, DAD!!???!". As if to say, "Hello?! Where'd you GO?!".

- She had her first hot dog the other day. It was a hit. And it was all beef, Kosher. So I feel better about it :)

- The other day she was sitting in her high chair and I glanced over to see her pulling her face down so her eyelids were all stretched down. It was gross. And without thinking, I said, "Stop! Your face will get stuck like that, silly!"... I'm a real Mom now, I guess. She thought it was funny.

- She actually really likes naps and bedtime. When we say, "You ready to go night-night?" she answers, "Yes!" and will grab her blanket and book it to her room. It makes our lives easier, that's for sure. For naps lately, I've been giving her a couple books to look at until she falls asleep and I've had to go in there half an hour later to take them away because she just talks and talks and reads and won't go to sleep.

- On that note, she LOVES books. She'll let us read to her forever. It makes me happy. Occasionally she'll be sitting with an open book, mumbling things, like she's reading it. It's cute.

- She LOVES dogs. She says, "puh-PEE?!" whenever she sees one. Our balcony faces a type of dog park and she'll stand out there yelling over and over, "puh-pee, puh-pee!" and then gets way excited when someone's actually walking a dog out there.

- She loves her Daddy so so much. When he comes home she RUSHES over to him and hugs him, then steps back and says, "Dad! Dad!", looks at me and points to him, "Dad!". It's like she's saying, "Hey, Mom. Uh, that's my dad. He's so cool!". It's a real self esteem boost for George.

- She loves to walk and run. When she runs, her knees kind of turn in. I'm not worried about it yet, but she looks kinda goofy when she runs. It's cute.

- This was a FB post I did about a month ago about her. "Charlotte's been up for almost an hour in her room singing in a loud, squeaky voice, "ha-ppy, ha-ppy, ha-ppy..... pee-pa, pee-pa, pee-pa......!!". While I wish I could have slept through it, it's pretty cute. She's just so happy, I guess :)"

- We used to do the airplane thing to get her to eat her veggies. Now she does it herself. Airplane noise and all :)

- When we pull on her toes she goes, "guck!" (stuck!)

- When we're looking for anything (cup, blanket, shoes, parking spot....) she says, "Hmmm, sheee." (Hm, let's see...)

- She loves dressies. And skirts.

- We always have cups of water out and if one spills or if there's a mess of any kind, she knows right where the cabinet with the towels is and will get one and start cleaning it up.

- She just started saying "dirsty" (thirsty) when she's both thirsty and hungry, hehe :)

- She has my blanket from when I was little and it has yarn ties all over it. It's a total comfort item and she bites it when she's really in need of comfort. She also plays with the ties and pulls them out. There are a lot missing :(

I can't believe how much my little girl is growing. I know that once this new baby is here, she's going to seem so old and grown up. I love her to pieces. :)
